Job Description:

Role Summary

We are looking for an Infrastructure‑focused Engineering SME / Technical Lead to help design, build, and support modern, cloud‑based infrastructure and automation solutions that underpin business‑critical, real‑time platforms.

This role partners closely with Product, SRE, DevOps, and Operations teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure services across a hybrid environment (on‑prem and cloud). You will work extensively with AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code while contributing to telecom‑adjacent platforms supporting contact center and voice workloads.

  • Experience with VoIP technologies is a strong plus but not required.
  • Engineers with a strong infrastructure, automation, and cloud platform background are encouraged to apply.

Why this role exists

Provide hands‑on technical leadership across infrastructure, automation, and integration layers for a regulated BFS platform that includes:

  • Hybrid on‑prem + cloud environments
  • Mission‑critical, low‑latency workloads
  • Infrastructure automation and CI/CD discipline
  • Telecom and real‑time integrations (SBCs, contact center platforms)

This role ensures the platform remains operationally sound, scalable, and secure, while enabling rapid iteration and safe production change.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Develop and support AWS cloud environments, including networking, compute, storage, IAM, and monitoring.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, testing, and validation.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to provide operational visibility.
  • Apply security best practices across cloud and containerized environments.

Reliability, Operations & Integration

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and integration issues, collaborating closely with development and operations teams.
  • Partner with SRE engineers to meet reliability, latency, and production‑readiness objectives.
  • Support change management, production rollouts, and controlled after‑hours changes when required.
  • Write clear technical documentation and contribute to runbooks and operational playbooks.

Telecom / Real‑Time (Optional but Valued)

  • Contribute to VoIP and real‑time platform integrations (SIP, SBCs, call routing) where applicable.
  • Support troubleshooting across telecom logs, routing paths, and integrations in partnership with voice SMEs.
  • Participate in incident response involving real‑time communications or contact center platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services, including VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, EKS, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience running Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, load balancing).
  • Experience with Linux systems, shell scripting, and Git‑based version control.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have (Add‑Ons)

  • Experience with VoIP or real‑time communications, including SIP, RTP, SBCs, or call routing.
  • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or Dynatrace.
  • Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, SQS) or databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
  • Background in security hardening for cloud and containerized workloads.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
  • AWS (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
  • Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
  • Terraform
